Post entry reduced for Ashland round of AMA Racing Vintage Dirt Track National Championship Series
7/7/2010
The post-entry fees for the July 9 dirt-track event at Ashland County Fairgrounds, round six of the AMA Racing Vintage Dirt Track National Championship Series, have been reduced to $50 for the first class and $30 for each additional class.
“We made this move because unlike the other events that run as part of the AMA Racing Vintage Grand Championships, the dirt-track event is a round of a larger series,” said AMA Director of Racing Joe Bromley. “Motocross, hare scrambles, trials and roadracing are standalone championship events. We wanted the dirt-track program to mirror the post-entry policy at the other rounds of the larger series.”
For the racers following that series, the half-mile at the Ashland County Fairgrounds will certainly be a highlight. The track and traditional grandstand provide a unique setting.
Plus, with AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days running in conjunction with the race, a large crowd is expected. Thousands of vintage motorcycle enthusiasts come to see racers from all over the country bring out some of the most beautiful dirt-track racing machinery in action today.
